Our life and mobility needs are changing faster by the day. We also need to protect our environment and future better. As an online marketplace, Buycycle offers the possibility to buy or sell a used bike in an uncomplicated and secure way, all around Europe. In this way, we enable bicycle lovers, hobby riders and commuters all over the world to be on the road at any time with the right bike for their current life situation, that leads to a more sustainable method of transport.
Our Story
We - Jonas, Florian and Theo - are three friends who met through cycling a few years ago. Even back then, it was anything but easy to get hold of a cheap beginners bike. And even when Jonas wanted to order his first used triathlon bike through a classifieds portal, he didn't exactly feel comfortable just transferring money somewhere without knowing whether a bike would ever arrive. From this, the idea for buycycle matured and we turned our passion into a profession. Today we are happy to be working on the buycycle vision as a growing team.

Friendship
Flo, Theo and Jonas have been friends for over 10 years. While cycling the world together they also have been working with one another in the same company or on joined projects.
Founding
The joint passion for bikes and the lack of a platform for selling and buying pre-owned bikes securely led to the decision to build a better solution themselves. They quit their jobs and buycycle was founded in the summer of 2021.
Vincent
Shortly after buycycle launched, Vincent was crazy enough to join us. His passion for cycling and operational excellence has driven buycycle's vision ever since.
First Office
2022, our small team has grown and buycycle had the chance to move into our own office in the heart of Munich. Needless to say, it is important to us that everyone at buycycle can cycle to work.
Refurbishment
Wanting to offering even more service and security, we started refurbishing bikes and offer a trade-in option for our sellers. Therefore Tom, our top notch mechanic joined our team.
Working at buycycle
Responsibility
Whether in a meeting or on an after-work ride into the Munich countryside, we maintain an open and ambitious (8000Watt minimum) atmosphere. By having the freedom to design and define our tasks, everyone at buycycle has a leading role from the very beginning and can thus grow into and with the team.
At buycycle, we do not neglect our responsibility to create an impact on the consumption of resources and the treatment of the environment. Be it the daily commute by bike or a bike that has found a second owner!
